if the sections are 4x2 so the widest point is 4" the smallest is 2" so simple maths 25.5" + the 2 + 2" sections adds upto 29.5" NOT 28.5" so they are 1" too short. I hope you feature this design on your website with the sketchup illustrations.
Karlah, they were so expensive! You'll just need some 2x4s and screws! And the piece that fits inside is 25 1/2 9 - 2x4 @ 72 (or cushion width x times 3), 13 - 2x4 @ 25-1/2 (or cushion depth plus1-1/2"), 2 - 2x4 @ 28-1/2 (or cushion depth plus 4-1/2"). Hubs had to take them inside his workshop and give them a play by play tutorial of how he made it! Cut all of your boards according to the cut list. So I went with 22" from the outside boards and hoping it works out okay. I also put the back board vertical instead of horizontal for a little more support, I don't see any reason why to make it differently, its still deep seating and fit standard cushions from Lowes.
