honestly, I got tired tweaking them. Fortunately, they discontinued the kit. No issues. I too bought the electric kit from either Rick's or Classic and although they work I had to notch the core support to clear the motors and I still can't get the DS door perfect - I will have it where it looks great, it opens and closes a few times and right back where it was. Has anyone else made the switch and if so, which one did you choose? For some reason i couldnt do text and pics in the above post. I have retro in my 67. i had to remove some metal to make them fit. I am of the opinion that the choice is somewhat dependent on the year. DSE setup is a complicated mess with multiple bandaids imho. 1969 Camaro LSA 6L90E AME subframe and IRS. I used Retro Electro. Best of all, they replaced the problematic vacuum system in favor of far more reliable electric motors.
And once you get clearance for the motors the alignment of the doors is a real PITA as well.
